Overview -
Abandoned Property - Any type of tangible or intangible property that is unclaimed by its rightful owner.
Types of unclaimed property - Checks, Shares, Commissions, Distributions & M/s o/s checks
This activity is performed for Van Kampen, Morgan Stanley Advisor and Institutional funds i.e. any dividend checks or shares unclaimed by the shareholder are transferred to state authority based on the dormancy period.
Mumbai's Role & Responsibility -
? Preparation and reporting of unclaimed funds to 50 States and 4 union territories based on their individual dormancy periods in the United States of America.
? Perform due diligence searches for shareholders considered lost in accordance with the United States rules and regulations
? Process reclaims
? Perform lost shareholder searches for all shareholders considered lost in accordance with SEC rules and regulations |

| Candidate Profile |

? Education Qualification: B.com
? Yrs of experience: at least 2 yrs
? Level this candidate would come in at: Analyst / Associate
? Industry preference: Candidate from Mutual Fund / Financial Services Industry would be preferred however; candidates from other industry having sound knowledge of Mutual Funds would also fit in.
? Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and flexibility to adapt to changing needs and requirements.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Ability to identify and escalate risk issues to stakeholders
? Strong attention to detail, quality and accuracy |
